Week Three Vocabulary Words for Holes

Below you will find our vocabular words for week three of Holes. Remember your quiz is this Friday, and on top of reading 20 minutes a night you should also be studying these words for a mininmum of 10-15 minutes a night.

Holes

Improvise (verb) – to makeup and perform on the spur of the moment

Nullify (verb) – to declare invalid or to void

Manipulate (verb) – to try to influence, adapt ,or manage to one’s own advantage

Obligation (noun) – something that someone is morally or legally bound to do

Plunder (verb) – to take goods or valuables by force; steal

Study for the quiz on Friday. You will be asked to spell each word, give the definition, the part of speech and give an example of a sentence.
